Four Australian natural courant clays are used in this soap, yes, for their beauty but also because of elements they bring to the bar. Clays add gentle exfoliation, help brighten the skin, giving it a healthy shine and contain mineral trace elements, which add to its recognised ability to remove toxins and purify. You will captured by the citrus top notes in this bar – with sweet, tart, summery lime shining through – and then drawn in deeper by the anchoring scents of lavender and patchouli. Lime in soap adds an antibacterial quality, helping to cleanse skin pores deeply while the base of patchouli is deodorising and soothing to skin.

All bars weigh approximately 150grms at the time of cutting. While soap is actually safe to use after 48 hours, to ensure the product is fit for purpose it must be cured for a minimum of 4 weeks. During this time the soap hardens as the ‘water’ content (in
our case replaced 100% with goat’s milk) reduces, loosing mass in the process. This process ensures the soap last longer. If you wish to add longevity to your soap bar there are few things you can do:
- Let is cure for an additional number of weeks (the scent will fade over this time but return when the soap is wet and being used)
- Between use keep your bar is a well-drained dry position, definitely away from steam and running water
- Use a soap dish that helps aerate your soap
- Ensure your soap dries out between use (this may mean alternating between bars)
